TEn Insurance, the network for independent commercial brokers, has appointed Rebecca Steel to the new role of Business Development Manager (BDM) for the South of England.
Rebecca has over 10 years’ experience in the insurance industry and joins TEn from Thistle Insurance, part of Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT). In her most recent role as Product and Sales Manager for Thistle, she was responsible for all aspects of a specialist white labelled cycle insurance scheme. There she achieved targeted increased revenue through tailoring individual propositions to her key accounts.
Rebecca will be responsible primarily for supporting TEn’s existing members in the Midlands and the South as well as recruiting new network members. A significant number of TEn’s broker members are based either in the Home Counties, the Thames Valley or on the South Coast.
Malcolm Lee, Managing Director of TEn Insurance, comments: “Recruiting a new BDM in the South means that we will be able to offer even more regionally-focused support. Rebecca is going to be out and about meeting members, discussing their needs and sounding out potential opportunities where we can work harder to support them. She will also be working to increase our footprint in the South where we think there are many small and start-up brokers who would benefit from the independence and services that we offer.”
