TEn exceeds 100 members milestone

TEn Insurance, the employee owned network for independent commercial brokers, is proud to announce it has surpassed 100 members with 16 new brokers joining this year alone.

Celebrating its 10th year of operations, TEn’s first member signed up to the network in March 2005 and the first invoice was issued in April 2005.

From very small beginnings TEn is now one of the largest independent broker networks in the UK. It has over 100 brokers, 40 members of staff, locations in Buckinghamshire, Manchester and Scotland and has recently guaranteed its independence by becoming Employee-Owned.  It recorded another strong financial performance in 2014, with an impressive 24.5 per cent rise in GWP, which stands close to £34 million on ordinary written premiums on a rolling 12 month basis.

TEn has now set a new target in its sights and aims to double its growth rate, reaching 200 brokers in just over five years.

James Sharp, Business Development Director, comments: “Reaching 100 members was one of our original goals when we opened our doors in 2005 – albeit it took a little longer than we at first anticipated, but looking at our pipeline today and the current market conditions, I cheerfully predict we’ll reach our new 200 member target in half the time!  Before the end of 2020 anyway.

“It has been quite a year for us – reaching a number of milestones, having our most successful financial year yet and achieving employee ownership, all in the space of a few months.  Of course our success is testament to the continued health and prosperity of our broker members; the small, entrepreneurial broker is alive and well – and with our help – going from strength to strength.”

About TEn Insurance

TEn Insurance is a national network with 100 members. It is a supplier of outsourced broking services to insurance professionals who wish to retain their own corporate identity and client relationships. It challenges the most entrepreneurial and the most motivated to dare to dream.

TEn Insurance takes on, amalgamates and streamlines the unproductive and unprofitable parts of a broker and seeks to achieve efficiencies and economies of scale. Essentially, this is an outsourcing of things other than the client relationship, which remain firmly under the control of each broker member.

TEn Insurance has been awarded Chartered Status by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and is authorised and regulated by the FCA.  www.teninsurance.co.uk
