Auto Legal Protection Services (ALPS), one of the UK’s leading providers of motor claims solutions, legal expenses and additional products, has taken on an experienced Business Development Manager as it continues to grow and secure new contracts.
Ben Lemmon joins ALPS from Gallagher Bassett where he was Client Account Manager and responsible for a large Lloyds-based insurer client specialising in a niche motor insurance market. He has over 15 years’ experience in the insurance industry overall with at least 10 years in claims handling.
Ben will oversee a team of seven managing ALPS’ new account with Lloyds trade broker, Clegg Gifford. ALPS recently won the contract to act as the outsourced claims function for all of Clegg Gifford’s First Notice of Loss (FNOL) motor claims across personal and commercial lines.
Ben will also be working alongside ALPS’ senior management team to develop existing accounts as well as identifying and exploring new business opportunities in the market.
The Clegg Gifford contract is the latest in a line of new business wins for ALPS which has taken on an additional 15 staff at its Cheshire head office in the last year in response to demand for its services. The company has seen its turnover increase by over 20 per cent year-on-year for the last three years and has seen claims volumes increase by a third over the last year.
