ALPS launches enhanced Motor Legal Expenses package

Auto Legal Protection Services (ALPS), one of the UK’s leading providers of motor claims solutions, legal expenses and additional products, has agreed a deal to move the underwriting for its Motor Legal Expenses and ALPS Complete products to Colchester-based MGA, Arc Legal Assistance.

The move means that ALPS will be able to offer its 600 brokers and their clients enhanced cover (for instance for motor consumer disputes) without affecting their current rates. ALPS will also be working closely with Arc Legal to look at bespoke scheme arrangements for its broker partners and could potentially add other new schemes to its current offering.  ALPS is continuing to partner with its existing MGA capacity providers, Legal Insurance Management and UK General, on other products.

Arc Legal is a specialist MGA and underwriter with capacity provided by international underwriter, Inter Partner Assistance, which is fully-owned by the AXA Assistance Group.

Lee Riley, Managing Director of ALPS, comments: “We are pleased to be working with Arc Legal as it has a reputation in the market for being a service-led organisation with values that mirror our own as we strive to offer high value products to brokers, enabling them to be more competitive. We periodically review our underwriting facilities and in this case we decided that Arc Legal could offer us enhanced cover and access to a wider base of underwriting services, which would benefit our brokers both now and in the future.”
