RUP Commercial Risks LLP, the specialist commercial motor MGA, has today announced its rebrand to a new boutique and independent MGA, Century Underwriting Ltd.
The new name, Century Underwriting Ltd, reflects the 100+ years of experience held by the current team of highly technical and expert underwriters including Guy Fraser, Ian White, Paul Shanahan and Spencer Mansell. It will continue to be a specialist commercial motor MGA but with an appetite to broaden its reach into additional complementary commercial lines including liability and property.
Guy Fraser, previously Partner at RUP Commercial and now Managing Director of Century Underwriting Ltd, comments: “Under the RUP brand we have built a reputation for being the commercial motor underwriter that always looks to find a solution– we find ways to underwrite risks not decline them, and this means that brokers know they can come to us with confidence, that we will always do our best to find a way – even with the trickiest of risks. This same approach will continue under Century Underwriting. We’re specialists but we’re also a friendly, approachable team that can be relied upon for a fast turnaround – it is these things that brokers tell us matter most to them.”

Century Underwriting has underwritten over £30m of commercial motor GWP and works with over 300 brokers. Its commercial motor capacity and claims management comes from Markerstudy who have been working with the team since 2011.
